Welcome to ZOTAS, an innovative platform developed to facilitate the automated deep-learning analysis of zebrafish fluorescence images for academic, pharmaceutical, and toxicological research. By accessing the website, utilizing our online analysis sandbox, or downloading the ZOTAS desktop application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use («Terms»). If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must refrain from using the platform.

Zebrafish-Research reserves the right to update or amend these Terms periodically. Substantive updates will be documented on this page with an updated revision date.

We strictly uphold the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, «GDPR») and French data protection legislation (Loi Informatique et Libertés).

• Minimal Data Collection: We collect only necessary account registration details (full name, institutional email address, institutional affiliation) to authorize access to research software.
• No Commercial Exploitation: Your personal data is never monetized, sold, leased, or transmitted to third-party commercial entities or advertising networks.
• Data Security: User credentials are encrypted using industry-standard high-security salted hashing algorithms (Argon2id).
• User Rights: You retain the full legal right to request access to, rectification of, or complete deletion of your account and personal records at any time by contacting our team.

Your Research Content: You retain full and exclusive copyright and intellectual property rights over all raw fluorescence microscopy images, experimental datasets, and research results that you upload or process through ZOTAS.

ZOTAS Platform & Algorithms: All rights, title, and interest in and to the ZOTAS algorithms, deep neural network weights (AFRSAT & VSAT ONNX models), application code, visual interfaces, documentation, and logos are owned exclusively by Zebrafish-Research and partner research institutions.

You agree to utilize ZOTAS solely for legitimate scientific research, educational development, and ethical laboratory investigation. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer proprietary components beyond open-source licenses, execute unauthorized denial-of-service tests, or compromise platform infrastructure security.

ZOTAS is provided on an «as is» and «as available» basis for life sciences research. While automated segmentation protocols have been rigorously validated against manual expert benchmarks across peer-reviewed scientific publications, Zebrafish-Research provides no warranty that execution will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zebrafish-Research and its academic contributors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the platform or reliance upon automated numerical segmentation outputs.

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the French Republic and the European Union. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bordeaux, France.

In strict compliance with Article 5(3) of European Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive) and CNIL regulatory guidelines, ZOTAS uses ONLY strictly necessary functional cookies and storage. As a result, no intrusive cookie consent banner is required on this website.
